The Kreuzbergsee is only a few meters away from the eastern exit of Tiefenbach at a large parking lot.
It is the starting point for many varied hiking trails and bike tours through the Katzbachtal or over the Kreuzberg and Wormsberg.
The idyllic lake was designed as a recreational area in 1972. In 1986 the "Kreuzberghof" hotel complex was opened on the lake.
