Lake Duś is one of the most charming lakes in Southern Masuria. It is located in the Piecki commune, in the Krutynia river basin - 10 km west of Ruciane Nida, within the Masurian Landscape Park. On the north-eastern shores lies the village of Wojnowo, and on the lake, at the south-eastern end of the lake, there is a cemetery and an Old Believer monastery. Sailing from Krutynia to Ukta, it is worth making a few extra kilometres and visiting this lake. The reservoir is fed by several dozen springs, thanks to which it has very clean water. The bottom is covered with lush aquatic vegetation. Road 611 (Stare Kiełbonki - Ruciane) runs near the southern ends of the lake, and on the eastern edges of the lake the road runs through Wojnowo to Ukta (connects roads 611 and 610). The shores of the lake are mostly flat, surrounded by meadows, often wet and marshy; The north-western outskirts are occupied by fields and meadows. There is a tiny island on the lake. A stream flows from the northern end of the lake, leading water to the Krutynia River.
