Down here on the south-western shore of Lake Starnberg, one escapes the greatest mass of tourists and excursionists who otherwise besiege the lake on all the banks - which does not mean that one could find solitude here. From the beer garden you have a magnificent view of the lake and the nature reserve. The dishes as well as the cakes are well done, the restaurant is known for fresh fish from Lake Starnberg. The prices are typical for Munich high, but not unfairly overpriced.

If you want to spend the day here, you can go down to the private beach. Admission costs 4 euros per person, parking costs 5 euros. Bicycles may be parked free of charge at the entrance. However, it is not allowed to take you to the bathing area. On the area there are changing rooms, showers and toilets. A private pier leads into the water, so you do not have to wade through the stony shore.

Down to earth cuisine, manageable but very good food. The easy accessibility by car make the restaurant especially on weekends a highly frequented destination for visitors from the Munich area.
