Just west of Oweep Creek and east of the Lake Fork Trail Junction is a series of small, scenic alpine lakes that make for a nice camp spot when hiking the Uinta Highline Trail, or any of the other stunning, challenging peaks in the High Uintas Wilderness. Like any dispersed backcountry campsite, LNT (Leave no Trace) principles are paramount; be sure to camp at least 200 feet away from water sources and trails, try to pitch your tent on already impacted areas, and leave no garbage or other waste behind.
