The Dierenbos play area is located on the existing footpath 32 along the Alfons Dewitstraat (behind the municipal primary school De Boemerang) which provides access to the De Rotte Gaten nature reserve.

The play area is equipped with play equipment with a ‘natural view’, mainly in natural colour tones, wood colour and grey.
The Dierenbos is located on a plot where there are already mature trees. These old trees provide a lot of shade. Part of the site remains as an ‘open playing field’ without play elements, where children can play freely.

There are various play equipment: a sandpit, a table with eight seats, a small playhouse, climbing structure, a lookout tower and a small tower with a slide and an ‘animal memory’ game. You can also discover various sculptures of animals. The turtle, rabbit, dog, frog, wobbly horse, chicken family, pig and snail are looking forward to you.

Unfortunately, the Dierenbos is not yet publicly accessible. Grass still needs to be sown in the spring of 2025 and the playground equipment has not yet been inspected for safety.

But feel free to come and have a look.
