Important institutions such as the German Hop Museum and the Hop Research Center have settled in Wolnzach, in the middle of the Hallertau hop region. But this market town was also an important hub in the past and with the introduction of the first hop seal in 1834 a noticeable upswing began. You can still see it today in the impressive buildings on the market square.
