The German Embassy in Riga is located in an impressively renovated building on Raina Bulvaris 13, one of the city's central boulevards. Even from the outside, you can admire the magnificent 19th century architecture - no wonder, since it was designed in 1868 by Heinrich Karl Scheel, one of the most famous German-Baltic architects.

A look at the facade reveals the neo-Renaissance elements that are so typical of Scheel's work. The embassy is not only a diplomatic hub, but also a place that is embedded in the history of Riga and German-Latvian relations. If you are on the boulevard anyway, it is worth stopping here briefly to admire the artistic facade with its balconies and windows.

Directly opposite there are also some benches where you can linger and watch the hustle and bustle of the city. A piece of German history in Riga that attracts more than just architecture fans.
