Pooh Corner is a lovely cafe on the edge of Ashdown Forest, where the Winnie the Pooh stories were coined by A.A. Milne. Built in 1703, the pretty white building was the sweet shop which Christopher Robin and A.A. Milne often visited. Today, it is a cafe dedicated to Winnie the Pooh and its creators. You can stop for a drink and slice of cake and learn about the history of this much-loved character.
The café is great and the building also has a small Pooh themed shop. "Bear" in mind that Pooh Sticks Bridge isn't particularly close to the café, despite photos being included here. Pooh Sticks Bridge is about 1.5km to the southwest of here.
