...the "Market Fountain" in Besigheim, Ludwigsburg district, Baden-Württemberg.
- At the beginning of the 16th century, the citizens received permission from "Margrave Philip II" to build a stately fountain on the market square.
- The column and surround date from a later period.

- Depicts a shield holder with the coat of arms of the Margraviate of Baden.
- "Besigheim" belonged to the Baden dominion until 1595.
- The predecessor of this fountain figure was a statue of "Knight Saint George."

- Four lion heads with water spouts.
- Text on the fountain: "After the old statue was toppled by a storm in 1564, the present column and image were newly constructed and renovated in 1953, 1976, and 1997."
