On a rock you will find the coats of arms of the Kingdom of Bohemia, the Electorate of Bavaria and the Duchy of Palatinate. After decades of disputes about the exact course of the border, an agreement was finally reached in 1754. To commemorate this and to mark the border, the three coats of arms were carved into the stone.

The "Iron Curtain", the fortified border between the Federal Republic of Germany and Czechoslovakia, used to run here. Today the border is no longer an obstacle and can be overcome on foot. Joint cross-border hiking trails now connect Bavaria and Bohemia.

The Gibacht circular hiking trail was laid out in 2005 on the initiative of the Gibacht mountain innkeeper and glass artist Ralph Wenzel. With a length of 5 km, with a slight difference in altitude of around 100 m and a walking time of just under 2 hours, the circular route is also suitable for families with children. Great sights and wonderful viewpoints have made the hiking trail a top tip.
