Following the November 11 celebrations, a memorial was erected and placed in the brick wall with the former school gate between the town hall and the former Sunday school/municipal school in 1936. It concerns a bluestone slab placed in a framed savings field with two bronze relief plates and white inscriptions.

Former council house, later town hall of Moerzeke, part of which was temporarily used as a shop and residence of the town clerk. Dated 1756, elongated rectangular building, perpendicularly placed on the south side of the village square opposite the western side wall of the parish church of Moerzeke.
Old images and postcards show that some traditional features were probably added to the town hall in the first quarter of the 20th century or in the 1920s (before 1928) in neo-style, such as both side stepped gables.
