The Episcopal Palace of Córdoba is located in the heart of the historic center of the city, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1994, right in front of the western façade of the Mosque-Cathedral of Córdoba. With a structure of 14,000 square meters, it is one of the largest buildings in the center and houses in its courtyard the sculpture of the Elephant Fountain, one of the symbols of Umayyad caliph art.

The Palacio Episcopal de Córdoba is a historic building located in the heart of the city, near the occidental fachada of the Mezquita Catedral de Córdoba. The building has a rich history dating back to the Visigoths, and later became an alcázar (castle) under the Umayyad rulers of Córdoba. It eventually became the seat of the Bishop of Córdoba. The building has gone through several styles, with elements of Muslim architecture and Gothic influences. In the 18th and 19th centuries, further extensions were added, giving the building its present form. It is currently the Museo Diocesano de Bellas Artes, which exhibits works of art from the diocese.
