The Emden water tower is on Abdenastraße near today's main train station. The building from the years 1910 to 1912 is owned by Stadtwerke Emden and is still in operation. At 42 meters high, it towers over most of the city's buildings and is an important example of an engineering structure in Emden from the beginning of the 20th century. The water tower has been a listed building since 1999.
