The parish of the Evangelical-Lutheran listed St.-Ägidien-Kirche belongs to the church district Grafschaft Schaumburg im Sprengel Hannover of the Evangelical-Lutheran Church of Hanover.

The hall church was built in the Romanesque style at the turn of the 13th century and rebuilt in the Gothic style in the mid-15th century. The church tower in the west was built in the late Gothic period on the remains of a predecessor that also came from the Romanesque period. On the west side there is a small pointed arch portal. Next to him is a stone-carved coat of arms from 1506 with the Schaumburg nettle leaf and a so-called envy head. In the south there is a walled pointed arched portal.
