The Böserscheidegg Village Dairy is a cooperative of eight farmers whose ancestors joined forces over 100 years ago. The dairy cows are fed meadow herbs from the Allgäu highlands and aromatic hay. Using high-quality, GMO-free raw milk, the master cheesemaker uses traditional methods to produce mountain cheese and other specialties. Since 1985, Böserscheidegg has been producing mountain cheese and butter from hay milk. In recent years, additional gourmet cheeses have been introduced. These include cream cheese, various herb cheeses, and a spicy red wine cheese. The homemade cheeses are naturally gluten- and lactose-free.
