St. Nicholas Waterfall is a natural landmark formed by the catchment area of Mount Konarevo (the village peak) above the town of Dobrinishte. It is a picturesque place, full of ancient stories and legends, a place connected to our roots and our connection to our ancestors.
In the area of the waterfall was one of the huts that developed into the present village hundreds of years ago. In the mid-1950s, annual celebrations were held here on the second day of Easter to mark the beginning of the new agricultural year. All were covered with geraniums, the flower that heralds the coming of spring. Legends abound about the sacred power of this piece of paradise, its positive effects on people's health, and their connection to nature!
To remember and honor the good traditions of our ancestors, to preserve them and pass them on to future generations, as it has been so far!
This is our small contribution to the history of Dobrinishte.
Thank you for keeping our beautiful village and its surroundings clean.
Thank you for treating our wonderful nature with respect and admiration!
