This hill is about ten miles from Troublesome Creek Campground, which was long the southernmost trailhead on the magnificent Kesugi Ridge Trail. (There's now a connector to the Curry Ridge Trail, even farther south, but it still requires some navigating to manage.)
Weather on this ridge can be savage and change quickly, so I wouldn't suggest camping in this exposed spot, unless the forecast is very calm. It's a great place to eat lunch and enjoy the views, though.
