The Brickeen Bridge is an 18th century pointed arch bridge. You cross it by walking around the beautiful Muckross Lake, which is recommended.

From Muckross House there is a very varied hiking trail through the woods, always with great views of one of the lakes. The southern path is completely paved and is also used by cyclists, but an attractive northern section is an unpaved forest path through the largely natural forest. After a little over an hour you come out of the forest and you come across this stone bridge "Brickeen Bridge" which crosses a connecting river between the northern lake "Lough Leane" and the southern "Muckross Lake". A great place to take a break, beautiful views of the lakes and mountains.
