This is a classic route that goes down from the Cappella del Monte Acquarone to the sea, following the watershed of Monte Acquarone first and then Monte Pian Cavallo and beyond. The ridge is perhaps the best MTB/Enduro track in the valley. Cycling-wise it is an S3 with slippery stone slabs when damp or wet. I recommend doing it when the weather is dry. Recently it has been made more difficult by the constant presence of motorbikes that go uphill, breaking it up a lot. Now the pebbles everywhere make it difficult for the tyres to grip.
In any case, this section ends at a crossroads: on the left you go down to the valley for what was the Gran Fondo dei Maxei, on the right you take a single track that comes out on a dirt road that continues to Montegrazie. Going straight instead, after a stretch where you have to push the descent continues practically to the town of S. Agata and beyond to the sea.
