The Kostol Povýšenia Svätého Kríža (Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross) in Čičmany is a significant religious and historical landmark of the village.
The architecture of the church is simple but at the same time very charming, with typical elements of rural churches in Slovakia. Particularly noteworthy is the interior, which is characterized by the wood paneling and painted details. This woodwork, as well as the traditional furnishings, make the church a unique example of religious architecture in the region.
The church is dedicated to the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, an important Christian holiday celebrated in the Catholic Church on September 14. The service and religious events in the church are a central part of community life in Čičmany, which is deeply rooted in the traditions of the Slovak people.
