On the occasion of the 1050th anniversary of the city of Brixen in autumn 1951, the Albuingasse was redesigned and a new fountain was built on the White Tower, which was inaugurated on October 28, 1951.

                  The White Tower was the site of the first fountain in Brixen with running water. For this reason, the fish stalls were also located there, where the fish brought into the city had to be sold.
