Brea de Tajo is a hillside village founded by settlers from the north in the 13th century to defend the old border between Arabs and Christians. The main street separates the village into two parts and all the streets are articulated towards the main valley, some facades have baroque shields and stone coats of arms. On one side is the 18th century church of the Assumption, which has interesting and monumental architecture, and inside it preserves frescoes and paintings of great interest and value. The Plaza de Felipe VI is the social meeting point, there is the Town Hall, the main shops and it is the starting point for hiking routes.
