Millennium Park opened in 2004 to celebrate the third millennium and is one of Chicago’s most vibrant and iconic destinations. It is perhaps best known for its Cloud Gate sculpture, popularly known as "The Bean." This
iconic stainless steel "bean" reflects the city’s skyline, making it a favorite spot for visitors. The park is also home to the Jay Pritzker Pavilion, a striking outdoor concert venue designed by renowned architect Frank Gehry. Its distinctive stainless steel ribbons and state-of-the-art sound system create a unique space for music and performances, hosting free concerts, festivals, and cultural events throughout the year. In addition to the Pavilion, Millennium Park offers many fountains, gardens, public art installations, open spaces and lawns, skating rinks in the winter, rock climbing areas, and access to popular trail systems like the Lakefront Trail.
