The Werner Senger House is a listed Gothic half-timbered hall house from the 13th century in the old town center of Limburg an der Lahn. For centuries it was owned by wealthy Limburg merchants.
In 1802, the house at Rütsche 5 attracted a lot of attention when the robber Johannes Bückler, known as "Schinderhannes", was arrested near Limburg and brought to this house, because at that time it was a recruiting center for the Imperial Army, which also took criminals and deserters into custody.
