Núñez de Bustamante's fortress tower (Arenas de Iguña, 15th century)
Known as “La Torrona” and located next to the main road, it is a square-shaped house, three stories high and with a hipped roof. The walls are strong and defensive, with small openings and built in ashlar. The only access door is on the inner façade and to access it you have to cross a private courtyard. On the façade facing the road, on the right-hand side of the third floor, there is the coat of arms with the Núñez de Bustamante coat of arms. Andrés Núñez de Bustamante was an accountant of the Old Guards of Castile.
