Vienna Airport (Schwechat)
Vienna Airport (Schwechat, Lower Austria, 16 kilometers southeast of Vienna; connection via the A 4 airport motorway; "Vienna International Airport"). The shareholders of Vienna Airport Betriebs-GmbH were originally the Republic of Austria (50 percent) and the federal states of Vienna and Lower Austria (25 percent each); they retained the majority shareholding even after the partial privatization and conversion into "Vienna Airport AG" on April 29, 1992. On June 15, 1992, the airport share was traded for the first time on the Vienna Stock Exchange.
