Memorial Hall to the Chinese writer Lu Xun.
Lu Xun, actually his pen name, was born in 1881 as Zhou Schuren (周树人) in Shaoxing, Zhejiang Province. He died in 1936.
Lu Xun was a leading figure in Chinese literature. Mao Zedong himself was an admirer of Lu Xun’s writing. Though sympathetic to socialist ideas, Lu Xun never joined the communist party.
