Summit at over 2000 meters with a wonderful view of the Bregenzerwald, the Kanisfluh, the Hohe Ifen and the Gottesacker plateau.

Numerous hiking trails allow for ascent from the valley, but the summit can also be reached via a 10-minute ascent from the Diedamskopfbahn mountain station.

One of the most beautiful peaks in the Bregenz Forest. In good weather you can even see Lake Constance. Otherwise, the visitor has a beautiful Alpine panorama. Also very beautiful are the sunsets over Lake Constance.

In summer, if the weather is good, there are sunset trips by train, the trip is free with the Bregenzerwald guest card. If you want, you can register for the buffet in the restaurant in the mountain station. On the summit, despite many people, it is very quiet, almost awe-inspiring - just goosebumps when the mountains change color in the evening light and the sun sets over Lake Constance.

The view from the Diedamskopf is really one of the most beautiful views in the Bregenzerwald. You should have a rain or warm jacket with you in case the weather changes, which is generally recommended for mountain tours.

The Diedamskopf is surrounded to the northeast by the Hoher Ifen (2230 m) and to the southeast by the Üntschenspitze (2135 m). In the southwest lie Schoppernau and the valley of the Bregenzer Ach and thus the Bregenzerwald region. The Hirschberg (1834 m) rises in the west.

According to the Alpine Association's classification of the Eastern Alps, the Diedamskopf belongs to the Allgäu Alps, on whose western edge it is located.

If you're nearby, be sure to take one. There's a well-maintained ascent path, but also a somewhat steeper staircase. At the top, there's plenty of space for summit photos and a fantastic panoramic view. There are marble runs along the way, and you can buy a matching marble from the vending machine.
