The shores are varied - flat in the south, and steep among the forests. It connects with Lake Rekowe in the north, and from the southern end of the lake flows a stream called Struga Rekownicka, flowing into the Omulew River. In the southern part there is also a connection with a small stream flowing out of Lake Głęboczek.
Not far away in the north-east is the Galwica Reserve. The quiet area encourages recreation by the water, the lake is also popular among anglers.
