The “Hoher Osel-Kopf” is located in the Elmstein district. The Weltersbach rises on its west side, and the Oselbach on its east side. To the north of the mountain is the district border with Waldleiningen. To the northwest is the Ritterstein “Dämmchen” and to the northeast is the Ritterstein “Erlenbrunnen”. To the south are the Ritterstein “Dedicated to the forest and hiking friend Mr. Josef Fichtne…” and the “Niederer Oselkopf”. It then drops down into the Elmstein valley.
