The Dombergbahn in Freising is a modern inclined elevator that connects the city center with the Domberg without barriers. In operation since May 2024, it provides convenient access to important sights such as the Freising Cathedral and the Diocesan Museum.

Technical details:

• Difference in altitude: 22 meters
• Route length: 35.8 meters
• Inclination: 78.5%
• Travel time: approx. 1.5 minutes
• Capacity: up to 14 people per trip, maximum 221 people per hour
• Travel speed: 0.5 meters per second

Using the Dombergbahn is free of charge. It runs daily from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. The fully glazed cabin offers an impressive view of the surroundings during the journey.

The Dombergbahn represents a significant improvement in the accessibility of the Domberg and is an attractive addition for both locals and tourists.
