The MONUMENT TO THE ARTILLERI OF ITALY, erected to commemorate the "Battle of the Solstice" of June 1918, located in via Lungo Piave in Nervesa della Battaglia, is a 75/27 caliber cannon placed on a pedestal in Montello conglomerate dedicated "TO THE ARTILLERI WHO FELL FOR THE COUNTRY ALWAYS AND EVERYWHERE" erected in 1988 on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Battle of the Piave.
The monument also has another dedication, as can be read on the plaque on the north side: "TO THE PRESIDENT OF THE ARTILLERI SECTION OF NERVESA CAV. UFF. ANGELO TONON WHO WITH HIS DETERMINATION ALLOWED THE REALIZATION OF THIS MAGNIFICENT WORK - NERVESA 9.12.1990".
On the northern part of the monument is the inscription: “IN THESE PLACES ON 16 JUNE 1918, ARTILLERS OF THE IV BATTERY OF THE 14TH FIELD REGISTRATION, HAD THEIR AMMUNITION OUT, THE CANNON HIT BY ENEMY FIRE, ON THIS FELL THE FURTHER BASTION OF VICTORIOUS DEFENSE”
At the top, under a glass plate, a bronze bas-relief that reads: “BRONZE REPRODUCTION OF A PHOTOGRAPH FORTUNELY TAKEN DURING THE BATTLE BY A MILITARY CHAPLAIN WHO ALSO FALLEN”
