Pangnirtung Fjord stretches into the southern end of Auyuittuq National Park and is known for its impressive glacier scenery and surrounding pristine beauty. The nearby Inuit community of Pangnirtung reflects a rich culture that is strongly connected to the Arctic environment and has developed over centuries. Several marine mammals are native to Pangnirtung Fjord. These include the Greenland whale, the narwhal and the beluga whale, as well as various seal species such as the ringed seal, bearded seal and walrus.
