Inaugurated in 2017, the Val d'Auron beach comes alive as soon as the sun rises. The urban lake and its 850m2 of supervised swimming area in the summer become "Bourges Plage". Want to build sandcastles and swim with a view of the cathedral? It's here! To take a break between two swims, you will find refuge in the shade of the trees, in an area equipped with picnic tables, and even barbecues, to enjoy with family or friends. To occupy the more sporty among us, Beach Volleyball and pétanque courts promise long, wild games.

Bourges' city beach…
On the north side of the lake lies a surprising city beach. In summer, there's supervised swimming, playground equipment, and a grassy area with benches and tables for picnics and barbecues. The walking path offers beautiful views of the water with the city in the background.
A perfect spot for a break, a dip, or just relaxing with your feet in the sand.
