The Elster cycle path is currently open again!

From the direction of Leipzig it is still narrow in places. From the direction of Zitzschen for the first 1000 m - as can be seen in the picture, the old F2 highway comes to light again.

What's going on here? Picture 2. Every time I cycle along the old F2 here, I wish it would be nice if the path and the bushes were a bit more well-kept. But today the path gave this picture and a cross-country course about 150 meters long opened up. Sleeping Beauty? Forest workers? UFOs? How does a device that creates such things get to the place where you can just about get through the bushes on your bike? Who knows more?

HoSt1749, thank you for your info and the reminder of the old F2, in fact, in the GDR era, federal highways were called long-distance roads and were abbreviated with an F+number! 👏 I shared your experience with you in late summer 24 and was completely shocked when I saw the result of this action, they literally "went big and didn't go home" in the negative sense! Excessive tree pruning without sense or reason. 🙄 What was once a mystical 🧙🏻‍♂️-looking cycle path has become an exaggerated aircraft path. 😓
