The Cracauer Waterfall is a weir in the Old Elbe in the Magdeburg district of Cracau. The weir blocks the flow through the Old Elbe completely at low water levels and partially at medium water levels. This increases the amount of water flowing through the Elbe west of the Rotehorn Park and in the area of the Domfelsen. By changing the flow rate, the weir contributes to the formation of sand deposits in the Old Elbe, which obstruct access to the boathouses on the Old Elbe.
