Here on the Wanneberg, above Meßhofen, lies the Wanne chapel on the edge of the forest. It is a pilgrimage chapel whose origins date back to the 17th century. Today's construction was initiated in the late 18th century by the last imperial abbot of Roggenburg, Thaddäus Aigler. The chapel developed into a popular place of mercy, especially in the 19th century. Pretty chapel with a fine bench under shady trees. Very good for a break.

Beautiful hiking trails to the Roggenburg Monastery or along the Stützenweiher to the Roggenburger Weiher. Also nice to biking with the MTB.

If you come here, you should take a look at the chapel "Wannenkapelle". Behind the church there is another chapel in which the Madonna figure stands.
Before the Wannenkapelle there are benches in the shade to pause.
