If you not only love nature in Kenya but also like to venture into local areas, Talek is the right place for you. The village is small and probably has no more than 250-300 inhabitants. It feels like you are in another time. None of us can even begin to imagine living like that.
Everything seems like the Middle Ages. The people are all very open-minded and friendly, but also very, very poor. The children are delighted to receive a piece of candy and the adults to receive a pen or 50-100 Kenyan shillings (35-70 cents) for water or soup.
You don't have to worry. It is not dangerous there.
