The Blaubergalm is managed from mid-May to the end of October. If you want to stay overnight on the Alm, you have to pre-register by phone due to the limited number of places.

You can reach the Alm under +43 (5242) 67516 or +43 (664) 2306719.

Magnificent, non-overflowing mountain hut with self-made catering offers, e.g. homemade buttermilk, which you can enjoy on the small terrace. Plus excellent views.

If heading east to the Gufferhütte, you have a choice at the Blauberg alm. Climb up to the ridge along the DE-AT border or continue beneath the ridge. The ridge is beautiful but strenous, especially after hiking up from Wildbad Kreuth. You will need 2-2.5 hours of sunlight to complete the ridge hike.

Although beautifully situated Alm, food good, friendliness of the staff miserable. Some of the animals on the alp are treated in exactly the same way.
The calves live in a mini barn, even worse the "Alm" pigs: vegetate in a metal trailer in their own shed...
You should report it to animal welfare

Great alpine hut. Very nice operator. There is a variety of dishes, according to their own information, almost all ingredients (meat, eggs, milk products) are from their own production. Taste is definitely awesome :)

In my opinion, the Blauberg Alm is not recommended!
The Alm seems to only exist to take money out of hikers' pockets. Everything is overpriced, even for water you pay €3.30 for half a liter (if I understood correctly you can get still water for about half the price). Incidentally, this is the only place in the area where you can get drinking water!! The owners don't seem to care about animal welfare either, because a few meters off the hiking trail you can see about 6 calves crammed together in a few meters that don't even have room to lie down at the same time.
The "sanitary facilities" are like something out of a horror film, there are really no words to describe them.
The best thing to do is just take something to eat with you and take a break nearby or on the summit of the Schildenstein.
