This abbey, at 1,340 m in the Upper Venosta Valley, is the highest Benedictine abbey in Europe. Above Burgeis, the monastery, which has been in existence for 900 years, invites you to take an excursion into the wonderful landscape of the Vinschgau. The monastery is still inhabited by monks today. The baroque church and museum are particularly worth a visit.

The monastery is enthroned large, white and magnificent on the slope above Burgusio. It's worth a visit!
