On the pedestrian-unfriendly path from the citadel to the lower town, you pass the first modern building in Ankara, which was built in the Art Deco style. It had elevators. Due to the ownership situation, it was vacant and is now to be converted into a museum. There is a lot of construction going on in Ankara at the moment, with monuments from different eras taking center stage. The building is an eye-catcher. There are other interesting houses in the Art Deco style nearby, which are unfortunately also falling into disrepair.
