There are many churches in Würzburg, some of which are very close together and all of which are special. But I was particularly impressed by the Kilian Cathedral with its clear, beautifully bright appearance and subtle color scheme. This highlight is not to be missed.

St. Kilian's Cathedral in Würzburg is a Roman Catholic church in Würzburg, which has been dedicated to Saint Kilian since 1967. The cathedral is the episcopal church of the diocese of Würzburg. With its double-towered façade and a total length of 105 metres, it is the fourth largest Romanesque church building in Germany and a masterpiece of German architecture from the time of the Salian emperors. The cathedral was originally dedicated to Salvator; from 855 to around 1000 it was dedicated to Salvator; from around 1000 to 1967 the apostle Andrew was the cathedral's patron; since May 6, 1967 the cathedral has been dedicated to the Frankish martyrs Kilian, Kolonat and Totnan. The cathedral's consecration festival is celebrated on October 24.[1] Würzburg Cathedral is the parish church of the cathedral parish and the cathedral chapter parish of the cathedral chapter
