The Försterteich was created after a hurricane in the early 1970s and is a wonderful place to relax. A local recreation area was created around it, consisting of three fire ponds, a wet biotope and a natural forest cell.

The foresters ponds are the ultimate recreational area. There are two larger and one small lake in the middle of the forest. If you park in the northwest, the path leads past a wild boar enclosure. Sometimes they sleep, sometimes they are very active - depending on the time of day. At the southern parking lot there is a shelter with barbecue facilities. These can be reserved for celebrations at the city of Lemgo.
