The Temple of Venus and Roma is one of the largest and oldest temples of Ancient Rome. It is located at the eastern end of the Roman Forum, near the Colosseum. It was built by the Emperor Hadrian, beginning its construction in 121 AD, and is dedicated to the goddesses Venus Felix (Venus the bringer of good fortune) and Roma Aeterna (Eternal Rome).
