This is the anchor trail for Roslyn's "Urban Forest" mountain bike trail system. Northern Pacific Railway constructed a branch line between Cle Elum and Roslyn in 1886 and on to Ronald in 1887 that transported coal as well as local residents, and it is littered with many different mining remains. It is a steady railroad-grade climb climb from Cle Elum to Ronald, with plenty of trees and scrub along the way. A nice bike ride on the way to more challenging mountain bike trails in Roslyn.
