May 2021: Crossing under the A 535 I reach the Düssel at the Koxhof, which accompanies me a picturesque stretch to the Aprather Mühlenteich and further.
At the latest at the mill, the quiet is over and it gives me difficulties to find a peaceful place to sit for my midday vespers.
Between Aprather Mühle and the historic town of Düssel, the asphalt strip called Düsseler Feld runs dead straight, on which I find a fine bench in the middle for my break.

"... The city of Düsseldorf owes its name to a small river that flows into the Rhine in the old town. The Düssel. It has its source in Wülfrath, from where it is 45 kilometers to the mouth in Düsseldorf.
The Düssel rises in Wülfrath and then flows through Wuppertal and Gruiten. It continues through the Neandertal, where the Düssel has cut into the limestone underground. The small river then flows largely in a natural bed through the towns of Haan, Mettmann and Erkrath and on to Gerresheim. ... "
