This bridge got washed out again with the flooding we had this summer. They are rebuilding. It's probably done now, but it was fun to see it mid-construction.

Actually. This bridge is not under construction. This is what is left of the old bridge, which was constructed quite some time before modern bridge specifications. Unfortunately, it isn't possible to repair this bridge as it is now, and to replace it would be very expensive. So this is the way it is now, certainly not recommended for any sort of crossing, and there is no current plan for replacing the bridge by Carleton arboretum management at this time. The crossing is now a bit north of this through a different gate.
