The Ragogna Castle is a true jewel set on a rocky promontory overlooking the Tagliamento. This is not just any castle, but a place that has seen centuries of history, since the time of Roman military camps. The first historical records date back to the 7th century, when there were mentions of Lombard fortresses. Over time, the castle has evolved, with towers and structures that testify to its strategic role.

It has experienced periods of war and splendor, passing through the hands of various lords, from the Dukes of Carinthia to the Counts of Porcia. Unfortunately, earthquakes and fires have damaged it, but it has recently been restored and is open to the public.
