The brewery in Nalžovské Hory was one of the key economic enterprises connected to the local estate. Already in the 16th century, the brewery was part of the local castle and served to supply the surrounding villages. In the 19th century, under the leadership of the Taaff family, the brewery was modernized and expanded. The beer from this brewery was highly valued and the brewery became one of the important sources of income for the estate.
In later years, during the period of the First Republic and subsequently under communism, the brewery fell into oblivion. The brewery was part of a wider economic system that also included other buildings, such as a cheese factory.
