Monreal del Campo is a town located in the Jiloca region, in the province of Teruel, Aragon. This municipality has a rich history dating back to Roman times, with findings of Roman and Iberian coins1. Officially founded in 1119 AD, Monreal del Campo is located on the banks of the Jiloca River and is known for its springs, the "Ojos del Jiloca".
The town has several points of interest, such as the Torre Cimera, the Saffron Museum and the Hermitage of San Juan Bautista. In addition, Monreal del Campo is famous for its saffron production, a traditional crop in the region.
